01/29/2012 Spiritual Paradoxes Trey Corry Philippians 1:12-26
Notes Slides Series: Philippians
When our difficult circumstances seem to question the presence and activity of God, it is in those moments that God is working in ways beyond our imagination and calling us to a task of utmost importance.

01/29/2012 Finding Victory in Suffering Matt Morton Philippians 1:12-26
Notes Slides Series: Philippians
Joyfully suffering for the Gospel produces fruit in our lives that will last for eternity.

01/29/2012 Free from Law Blake Jennings Romans 7:1-13
Notes Slides Series: Romans
God's Law is good. It's holy. It's useful. But when we try to use the Law, or any other list of rules, to draw us closer to God, failure inevitably follows. The rules just become an inspiration to sin. They can tell us what to do, but they can't help us do it. So thank God that He has freed us from the Law so that we might draw near to Him in a new way, in the way of grace!

01/29/2012 No Life In The Law Brian Fisher Romans 7:1-13
Notes Slides Series: Romans

01/22/2012 Godly Affections Trey Corry Philippians 1:7-11
Notes Slides Series: Philippians
What we love determines what we pursue and who we become. Paul details how godly affections grow and how they change us from the inside out.

01/22/2012 The Power of Gospel Partnership Matt Morton Philippians 1:3-11
Notes Slides Series: Philippians
Paul begins his letter by expressing his confidence that God is working in and through the Philippian believers. His words remind us that true power and impact come from partnering with God and others to invest in the Gospel.

01/22/2012 Romans 1-6 Review Blake Jennings Romans 1-6
Notes Slides Series: Romans
The first half of Romans answers some of life's greatest questions. What's wrong with this world, and whose fault is it? What hope do we have in the midst of our sin? Is God's grace in salvation free or costly? Why shouldn't justified people sin? Why are we here; what's our purpose in life? We'll answer these questions and more by looking back through the most significant passages in Romans 1-6.

01/22/2012 Romans 1-6 Review Brian Fisher Romans 1-6
Notes Slides Series: Romans
The book of Romans is not about us. It is not simply about how men and women 'get saved.' Romans is about God, and specifically, His righteousness. In Romans the Apostle Paul demonstrates that God is righteous in all that He is and in all that He does - He is righteous in the condemnation of all sin, in the justification of sinners, in the sanctification of the justified, in the outworking of His plan in history, and He manifests His righteous through our lives to a fallen world.

01/15/2012 Mission Philippians Trey Corry Philippians 1:1-6
Notes Slides Series: Philippians
The apostle Paul and the church in Philippi form a close-knit team with a costly mission (the Great Commission) that has a certain ending.

01/15/2012 Life's Highest Priority Matt Morton Philippians 1:1-2
Notes Slides Series: Philippians
Paul wrote the book of Philippians to encourage the church to be faithful to the Gospel. As Christians, our highest priority in life is to partner with God's Spirit to share the Gospel and to make disciples of all nations.

01/15/2012 Authority on Display Kevin Barra Matthew 8:1-17
Notes Slides Series: AdditionalSermons
Jesus demonstrates his Authority over disease, demonic, and nature. The real question is how should we respond to his power? I think by looking at how He yields his unparalleled power we will find that He is Lord and easy to submit our lives to.

01/08/2012 Social Justice and the People of God Ryan Poehl
Notes Slides Series: AdditionalSermons
As Christians, we are to called to be cognizant of the ways in which our society doesn't match the righteousness of God, and to be agents of change. With this in mind, we must keep the gospel as the primary motivation for social transformation.

01/08/2012 God's Master Plan Joel Mathai 2 Corinthians 5:21
Notes Slides Series: AdditionalSermons
One of the most magnificent verses in all of Scripture is 2 Corinthians 5:21. It is the central truth of the Scriptures. At the start of this new year what better time to look at the deeper meaning of the cross and by faith, commit to communicate these truths in this new year to those who haven't heard.

12/18/2011 The Christmas Story Revealed Jason Wiesepape Revelation 12:1-12
Notes Slides Series: AdditionalSermons
In most nativity depictions there is a central character who is absent. As the Christmas story is revealed from Revelation 12:1-12 this character is not only exposed, but the wonderful power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is brought to the forefront.

12/18/2011 Angels: God's Glorious Servants Brian Fisher Luke 1-2
Notes Slides Series: AdditionalSermons
Angels serve God's people. Their very name means 'messenger.' We find them at critical points in the history of the Bible, brilliantly bursting onto the scene to tell God's beloved children what in the world God is about to do. Their presence reminds us that God longs for us to know Him, and He proves it by revealing His glorious plan to His people.

12/11/2011 Free from Sin, Enslaved to God Blake Jennings Romans 6:12-23
Notes Slides Series: Romans
False advertising at its best is funny, but at its worst is fatal. And the hands-down worst case of false advertising in all of human history is sin. Sin promises fun and satisfaction, but delivers just the opposite. It leads us down a path of addiction, shame, and death. Fortunately, we have a choice. We can obey our new Master, the Lord God, and enjoy His power, His peace, and His freedom.

12/11/2011 Freed from Sin, Enslaved to God Brian Fisher Romans 6:12-23
Notes Slides Series: Romans
Bob Dylan used to sing, You're gonna have to serve somebody...it may be the devil or it may be the Lord but you're gonna have to serve somebody. Mr. Dylan may not have understood the full implications of what he was singing, but he spoke truth nevertheless. We all serve somebody - ourselves, sin and death, or God, obedience and righteousness. As Christians, we have been freed from serving the destructive master, sin - it is no longer necessary or appropriate for us to sin since we now belong to God. And when we offer ourselves up to God, we discover that He is a good, life-giving Master.

12/04/2011 Can We Have Heaven On Earth? - Christian Worldview and Witness Trey Corry Acts 17:16-31
Notes Slides Series: Heaven_Hell_and_the_Here_and_Now
A Christian worldview provides a framework to understand all of life including God, our world, and ourselves. As a result, it provides a wonderful tool as we become conversant with our culture and world in love and truth.

12/04/2011 Living in Light of Heaven Matt Morton
Notes Slides Series: Heaven_Hell_and_the_Here_and_Now
How often do we think about eternity and prepare for it? Most of us are easily distracted, and we spend more time planning for events that will come and go quickly. So how can we invest intentionally in Christ's kingdom, which will last forever?

12/04/2011 Dead to Sin, Alive to God Blake Jennings Romans 6:1-13
Notes Slides Series: Romans
God's grace is without limit: where sin abounds, grace super-abounds! But if that's true, then why not let sin reign in our lives so that we can get more of God's grace? After all, sin's easy and pleasurable, at least for a while. So why not let sin reign? Because of Jesus... because the infinite, perfect, innocent Son of God died and rose again for this explicit purpose: to emancipate us once-and-for-all from slavery to sin. Because we've been united to His death and resurrection, we need never serve sin again. Let us know it, believe it, and live it!

11/27/2011 Now Thank We All Our God Brian Fisher 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Notes Slides Series: AdditionalSermons
Rejoice always! It is a command, and therefore, we must conclude that it can and should be obeyed. But what does it mean, and how can it be obeyed when so many of our circumstances are difficult and overwhelming? To rejoice is a choice, not a feeling; it is an attitude or perspective gained by looking to the future, while not ignoring the present. It is an orientation toward life that can be experienced only by praying...and praying...and praying...without ever ceasing, and by cultivating a heart that continuously gives thanks in everything.

11/20/2011 The Basis of Justification (Representation) Blake Jennings Romans 5:12-21
Notes Slides Series: Romans
At this very moment every person on this planet is represented before God by one of two men - Adam or Jesus Christ. Adam's one sin in the Garden brought death, both physical and spiritual, to himself and to all of humanity. Because he sinned, we die. That may not seem fair, but because we were represented by one man, Adam, in death, we can also be represented by one man, Jesus, in life. And the one great hope for all of humanity is that the gracious act of Jesus completely overcomes the deadly act of Adam...and this gift is available to all who believe.

11/20/2011 The Basis of Justification (Representation) Brian Fisher Romans 5:12-21
Notes Slides Series: Romans
At this very moment, each member of humanity is represented before God by one of two men - Adam or Jesus Christ. Adam's one sin in the Garden brought death to himself and to all of humanity. No one can escape the verdict of condemnation because we are related to him. It may not seem fair, but because we were represented by one man, Adam, in death, we can also be represented by one man, Jesus, in life. And the one great hope for all of humanity is that the gracious act of Jesus completely overcomes the deadly act of Adam...and this gift is available to all who believe.

11/19/2011 True Love Matt Morton 1 Corinthians 13:1-7
Notes   Series: College_Life
Healthy relationships come from an understanding of the love of Jesus Christ. Once we understand that our relationships do not exist primarily to meet our own needs, we are free to love others as God is calling us to do.

11/19/2011 Sex as God Designed It Jamey Bryant
Notes Slides Series: College_Life
Sex, as God designed it, is meant to point to and mirror Him. Unfortunately, many of us have developed distorted views of what sex is, and we've lost sight of God's plan. Whether single or married, we desperately need to elevate and broaden our view of sex and sexuality if we are to seek after the wholeness that God wants for us in this area.
